Authors T. Bashkaev, Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy), Moscow, Russia
Abstract New paradigm of town planning bases on public spaces system. Public spaces are aimed to make people’s staying inside urban environment comfortable. It reasons us to define transport hubs as public spaces, which unites different transport system terminals (railway, bus, subway and so on). This united public space realizes quick and easy interchanges between different types of transport. Nowadays, it is established as an important resource for urban development in new paradigm of town for people. All this creates new missions for architects – to design transport hub as a great people’s magnetic zone in a contemporary city.
