Abstract
The article examines the transformation of the first industrial quarry in the city of Ukhta (Komi Republic) into a modern innovative recreational and park complex. The project is focused on the development of tourism, leisure, social sphere and ecology. Special attention is paid to the philosophical understanding of the existential crisis of modern man and the search for ways to overcome it through the aesthetics of architectural space. Hypotheses about the historical authenticity of the object, its ecological rehabilitation and innovative proposals for creating a promising tourist resource on its basis are presented. The research methodology combines mathematical analysis of spatial solutions with symbolic interpretation of the object. The publication is based on the results of the final qualifying work of A.Y. Somplavsky (Ukhta State Technical University, Department of Architecture and Construction) "Recreational complex in the city of Ukhta" (scientific supervisor – A.V. Mironyuk).
