Article Architectural means of ensuring the safety of the living environment in educational design
Authors Polyantseva E.R., Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Saint Petersburg, Russia
Abstract The article discusses architectural methods for creating a safe environment in apartment buildings and their application in educational design. It analyzes key theories on crime prevention in cities and raises the issue of the conflict between security achieved by restricting access and the current trend towards openness and permeability in urban environments. Using student projects as an example, the article shows how the principles of safe design can help create comfortable and secure courtyards in various urban contexts.
Keywords: architecture, living environment, security, protection from crime, residential courtyard
